Love these Jackets!

T-Shirt to Spring Jacket

Here's what we're up to today.  The basic idea is to take a t-shirt and turn it into a jacket or pullover.  I love to sew, but I consider myself to be a beginner.  So, rather than starting from scratch I like to start with an existing shirt.  Plus, honestly speaking, my boys are sweaty little guys.  I can't ever put a thick sweater on them.  I like thin layers and so do they.

I have even made her little boy hat before and it was super simple (although my first try did fit an adult!)

New adventures....

Well can't believe I have done it, but it looks like I have sold my flower shop!  Crazy, its been my backbone and creative source for the last 8 years.  But its time to move forward with some other areas I want to work in so something has to go. 

I am keeping my cooler (as it was a gift from my parents and grandmother for our wedding - and we use it for hunting season) plus a few tools as I do have my brothers wedding next February to do!

Now the fun begins with getting to pack it up.  It has been an enjoyable ride but looking forward to my new adventures!!  I think I will miss most is seeing the creations my kids make for the county fair.  (although I'm sure I will always have something around to do!)

I have been wanting to get into doing some metalsmithing for a long time and would love to find a relationship with my sewing machine again!

Facebook Causes

Facebook. People use it for about everything, social networking, finding new and old friends, telling people WAY too much about yourself, and more than I can write here,
but there are some great things that Facebook is doing thru their Causes page.
